May 20, 2008 - Looks like Fairbury is adding the Street Stocks the next two weeks. The car counts have been really good and the highest at the track. Unfortunately, the first two weeks of SS competition have been washed out by rain. Also, gotta mention that Kevin turned 40 this past Saturday, so if
you see him, make sure to wish him a happy 40th! |
May 7, 2008 -
After a late start because of indecision at Kankakee, the L3 team finally
got on the track this past weekend at Fairbury's
American Legion Speedway. Kevin won his heat on a last lap pass
then finished 8th in the feature...but that was in the Sportsman division.
Fairbury is starting a street stock division this week that will race
every Saturday night. The team had initially planned on racing Saturday
night's at Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, IN, but were turned away
because of a motor setback. Besides running Fairbury, the team plans
on running big money races at Kokomo, LaSalle, and Farmer City and whatever
else pops up along the way. Check back here on Sunday's for up-to-date
results and pictures as they become available. |
| January 27, 2008 - The team is kicking it into high gear getting ready for the 2008 racing season. We're still waiting to see what happens with Kankakee, but there's always a back up plan if Kankakee falls through. We'd like to welcome a new sponsors this year. D'Agostino's Pizza out of Chicago and we'd like to thank Cray's Automotive for 10 years of support as well as the rest of our sponsors for their continued support of Kevin and the race team. The car is being finished up and will look similar to Jimmy Owen's late model. When we get pictures, we'll put them up here. The plan right now is to run for UMP points. Keep checking back and as more things are being finalized, we'll update here. |
